If you activate the beta test, you will automatically receive the beta version of the app as an update from the Google Play Store. The beta version then replaces the current version from the store. So you cannot install both versions in parallel on your device.

Explanation of the authorizations:

✗ Your accounts (find accounts on the device)

Required on devices with older Android versions to receive push notifications as an existing Google account is required. With this authorization it is only possible to query whether an account is available. The list of accounts found is not transmitted and the data of the accounts themselves cannot be accessed by the app.

✗ Storage (change or delete USB storage contents)

Is required to be able to temporarily store data such as images on devices with little internal memory. For this purpose, the app only accesses the cache directory it has created.
Other data on the USB storage device are neither read nor manipulated.

✗ System tools (deactivate standby mode)

In future, this will optionally make it possible to bring the device out of sleep mode when a push message is received.

✗ Hardware controls (control vibration alarm)

The vibration alarm is optionally triggered when the device receives a push message.

✗ Read Google service configuration
