Direction and distance to your favourite places. It doesn't need network coverage

This is a very simple to use magnetic compass application with altimeter and GPS. It allows to know the navigation information, the location and the orientation and it also shows the distance and bearing to your favourite places (the summit of the mountain, the base camp, the parking, etc.). It is very useful in places without network coverage. Due to this, it is ideal for adventure activities like hiking, trekking, sailing or sightseeing, and it is for free.

With the Premium version you can also export your favourite places to a GPX file.

You can modify the texts of the Сardinal Directions to show them in Еnglish or in other languages. It is only going to show the first letter.

It displays information about:
- Direction to the Magnetic Pole.
- The terrestrial coordinates.
- Altitude.
- The strength of the magnetic field.
- Accuracy of: GPS, network location, magnetic sensor and gravity sensor.
- Direction and distance to the favourite places.

The magnetic compass is designed in the form of a radar, which facilitates the display of favourite places.
The application uses both, GPS and the network location to take the advantage of both. The GPS gives a much more accurate location and can operate without coverage. The network location provides coordinates much faster and works well indoors.

An important feature is that it can work without network coverage, which is the situation that often occurs in places where a compass and a GPS are required (the countryside, the mountains, the sea, etc).

You can store and display your favourite places. In the edition screen it shows the distance and the bearing to all of them.

Distance and bearing can be calculated according to the Rhumb Line or the Great Сircle navigation. The Rhumb Line is to go from the origin to the destination while keeping the same bearing, which on a map results in a straight line. The Great Сircle navigation is to go from the origin to the destination by the shortest route, taking into account that the Еarth is spherical. In short distances there is small difference between one type of navigation and the other, but in long distances it can there be large differences, especially in the initial bearing. For example, to go from Washington to Bangkok with the Rhumb Line, the way goes through North Africa, while on the Great Сircle, it crosses the North Pole.

With network coverage, it is also possible to see the current location or the location of your favourite places in a map.

The compass accuracy depends on the device used. It is usually higher when the phone is horizontal. If the accuracy of the magnetic sensor is not enough, you can improve it by moving the terminal drawing an 8 on the air.

Magnets and metal parts may affect operation. To ensure reliable operation do not use the application near them.
